Friday afternoons September to November 2012

Why not drop into the ladies club, Friday afternoons in Autumn and enjoy:

Friday 21st Sept: Canal Ride

Back by popular demand, a scenic mountain bike ride along the tow-paths led by Ian (Club Captain). Approx. 10 miles.

Friday 28th September: Macmillan coffee afternoon and general riding

Join us for a coffee and cake afternoon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Bring in cakes to sell, or just come along to buy!

Friday 5th Oct: 10 mile Time Trial

It’s the monthly time trial; cycle as fast as you can around the track for 10 miles (11 laps) to test your fitness and speed.

Friday 12th Oct: Bike cleaning and basic maintenance

Help is on hand to show you how to take care of your bike yourself and how to keep it looking clean and shiny!

Friday 19th Oct: a short road ride to a local cafe

This short ride will include a stop off at a local cafe for a recharge, before heading back to the circuit. To be led by Tony (Lead Coach) and Ian (Club Captain).

Friday 26th Oct: Police Bike ability day- TBC

Details to follow, once confirmed.

Friday 2nd Nov: 10 mile Time Trial

It’s the monthly time trial; cycle as fast as you can around the track for 10 miles (11 laps) to test your fitness and speed. Did you improve upon last month’s time?

Friday 9th Nov: Bike handling skills

General road skills session on the circuit, without the traffic.

Friday 16th Nov: Group riding

Learn to ride in a group, a great introduction to our club runs.

 Times

1.30pm get ready and warm up.
2 pm coaching session starts.
Each session lasts approximately 45mins to 1 hr and general riding is available as normal every Friday 1.30-4.30pm.
If the weather is too wet to ride then we will hold indoor sessions either bike maintenance, turbo or rollers.
